LOVED this book. A 4.5 Stars. This is a new author find for me. I've since downloaded several of her books. Have loved every one of them. The Demon in Me is hot, sexy, incredibly witty and funny. Eden is a psychic working as a consultant for the police. As a result of the murder of his host, Darrack is a demon forced to possess Eden by night but has control over his body by day...just as long as he stays within 90 feet of Eden. Darrack is hilarious and he and Eden are a fabulous couple. Eden is intelligent, brave and sharp. The paranormal world explodes for her once Darrack comes along. This is a great series, fast paced, nonstop action, with wacky side characters... just a fun sexy read. They're on a mission to find a way for Darrack to be able to exist outside of Eden's body. The sequel Something Wicked is just as good and leaves you wanting more. Anxiously waiting on That Old Black Magic in September.

The Demon in Me A Living in Eden Novel Michelle Rowen 9780425234686 Books Reviews

Not bad at all. This is more PG-13 than the UF or PR that I'm used to reading, but the writing was solid. My only complaint is that this had the potential to be a bit darker and edgier. 3/5 star, rounding up because I was pleasantly surprised.
I seriously wish I could put this book down and do something, hell, even peeing is hard when you have this book in your hands. Juggling it with the TP is all up to you, but I digress...

This series is awesome, even though its a trilogy (thus far anyhow), I cant put it down. Its sexy, hot, intense and has enough action to make it real without overdoing it. This book is more believable than most, which makes it even harder to put down and eat dinner (I cheated and did the napkin over the trick, but dont tell).

I just got done with this one and I will immediately be buying the second. Totally worth even trying. I love this book!!
I absolutely love this book...the heroine was refreshing...sincere, and witty, in a slightly self-deprecating manner that still engages you and just makes you laugh. I wasn't put off by her personality like I am so often with heroines out there now...you know the ones...the one who are supposedly strong and kick ass but who turn out to be whiners who can't help but crumble and fall apart when they're in bad situations. I think this heroine handled her situation well and she handled it with wit and grace and the demon was written better than I thought he would be. I thought he was hot and funny.

So with my imaginary pom-poms I say !GO Michelle Rowen!!!!.
I really enjoyed this book. My first read from this author. Her style reminds me a bit of Angela Roquet’s who I also adore and read avidly. Great characters, and very cool twist at the spin off. I will likely be reading the following book just to see what Rowen does with them!
Eden Riley is a skeptical psychic. After helping the Chief of Police's wife find her missing dog she was pressured into taking a job as a psychic consultant for the police. No one is more miserable about this arrangement than Eden. She freely admits that she doesn't believe she's psychic. She gets hunches that pan out, but she can't make herself have psychic visions. That means she's not psychic, right? Unfortunately for Eden, on her first consultant job she gets a hunch about where a serial killer is and ends up with more than she bargained for. All of a sudden she's hearing a man's voice in her head and she just doesn't know what's going on.

Darrak is a demon who has to jump from host to host to survive. Unfortunately for Eden, that serial killer was his last host and when Detective Ben killed him Darrak was forced to jump to another body. Guess who that turned out to be? Yes, Darrak and Eden now inhabit the same body. This is something new for both of them as Eden has never had a demon in her (obviously) and Darrak has never jumped to a female before.

Watching Darrak and Eden navigate the boundaries of their new life was fun. The author actually addresses subjects that the common reader would ask. What happens when Eden needs to go to the bathroom? What happens if she wants to get physical with someone? They have very funny exchanges throughout the book and the momentum never stops.

I really liked that Eden didn't trust Darrak right away. I think it was very realistic for her to try to take the measures that she did. She unwittingly started an undesirable chain of events, but how was she supposed to know? She was looking out for number one. I also really liked the facts that we found out about Darrak. I liked that he tried to present himself in the best possible light and that Eden had to figure out if she was okay with the reality of who he was once she found out more about him.

All in all a fun new series that I would definitely recommend.
l loved this story about a demon and a lady psychic who has no control over her ability. a very

This is a story about a demon and a psychic who has very little control over her psychic abilities. Now she has a demon spirit living inside her with no way remove it and return to her normal life. There's a lot plots and turns in this story that makes it very interesting to read. And how these two learn to come to some terms with each other and survive this situation. Which brings about love they feel for each other.
I absolutely enjoyed this book. The witty dialogue between the main characters (Derek and Eden) is hilarious. I found myself snickering and laughing out loud several times. I loved the reverse nature of the characters. Demons and such are rarely considered the victim, let alone faultless; and are usually considered the villain. This demon, however; is now infused with humanity and nothing close to being a true "baddie". And Eden is appalled about this demonic possession but yet guilt-ridden regarding exorcising an "innocent" demon. Oxymoron, huh? So Derek, needing Eden's help to release him from the curse, continuously tries to prove that he is humane, not able to live up to his species' name. But the question that is burning in the back of Eden's (and readers') mind is, "is he playing us?" I mean, he is a demon afterall.
